Our second annual roundup of winners in the system-built industry’s premier architectural competition
Every year, the Building Systems Councils (BSC) of the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB) showcases the best of the best in architectural design through its Jerry Rouleau Awards for Excellence in Home Design. The long-standing mission of the awards is to identify the most outstanding designs in the systems-built housing industry according to specific size and building technique.
The BSC recognizes and awards winners from each building technique category: modular, panelized, SIPs (structural insulated panels), timber frame, concrete and log. Awards are presented for residential, single-family housing according to the building system type. A single award is presented across all manufacturing disciplines for multifamily and commercial buildings.
There were more than 37 submissions across all categories in this year’s awards. Highlighted in this article are 11 of our favorites. Some were prizewinners, while others were not.
